Kelly Berg

Kelly Berg was a longtime friend of Growing Kids Therapy Center before she joined the team as an S2C Practitioner in 2019. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a broad focus on Speech Pathology, Deaf Education, as well as Audiology.

Kelly enjoys working with individuals as well as with groups, and is passionate about furthering engagement within our spelling community and with the community-at-large through special events, providing opportunities for GKTC clients to gather outside of our regular hours for social activities. If you have an idea for a special event, be sure to let her know!

In addition to her work at Growing Kids, Kelly is also a member of the Leadership Cadre at the International Association for Spelling as Communication, whose mission is to advance communication access for nonspeaking individuals globally through training, education, advocacy, and research. Kelly is a mentor as well as a Cohort Leader for the S2C Professional training program.

Kelly spent a decade living overseas, but is now thrilled to call downtown Herndon home, and loves her two-minute commute to the office. When not at GKTC, Kelly is usually with her daughter, Parker. You might also spot her around town walking her rescued greyhounds or her daughter's pet rats, at Friday Night Live dancing, or perhaps even whizzing around town on her Vespa or electric scooter!
